Vocabulary Cards
Academic vocabulary is a foundational knowledge base that is a necessary component for standards mastery in all subject areas and grade levels. The Vocabulary Cards module includes cards with academic vocabulary terms, student-friendly language definitions, terms used in a sentence with standards-based context, and graphics to support student understanding (when applicable). This resource provides access to the vocabulary terms as digital flip cards and are available for print.

Word Play Activities
The Word Play Activities module provides teachers with a variety of strategies to teach academic vocabulary at the elementary and secondary grade levels. These subject-specific Word Play Activities offer students varied experiences as they learn academic vocabulary. Teachers can access the Word Play Activities module easily to implement a strategy during instruction to address vocabulary instructional needs. Coupled with the Vocabulary Cards module, these vocabulary activities become less-time consuming to prepare and can be a regular component of instruction.
